Food Restrictions and Allergies

Due to the intimate nature of Restaurant Fraiche we are unable to accommodate Vegan; Lactose or Nut Allergies.

While we will do our best to adjust to Gluten Free; Soy; Fish / Shellfish or Egg Allergies, we cannot guarantee that these ingredients are not used in some dishes.

General Questions

What menus are available?

Our 6 course Tasting Menu is available Wednesday to Saturday evening.

A 4 course Tasting Menu is available for Sunday Lunch.

Do you have a dress code?

Smart casual wear. T-shirts, shorts and casual sandals are not recommended.

Do you have a car park?

Unfortunately, we don't have our own Car Park, however, there is plenty of local on street parking.

Are children welcome in Restaurant Fraiche?

Yes, older children are more than welcome. Unfortunately, we do not have a children's menu nor are we able to cater for small children.

Do you have a waiting / cancellation list?

Yes, we run a waiting list for each service. If you would like to be added to our waiting list for a particular date, please use the Cancellation Form on the web site. (Available shortly)

Does Restaurant Fraiche have a bar area?

Yes, we do have a bar area. Please feel free to arrive early for a drink in our bar area prior to your meal.

Is Restaurant Fraiche open on a Sunday?

We offer a 4 course lunch service on Sunday`s.

How can I book?

Restaurant Fraiche only accepts bookings via the online booking system on the website. Bookings are taken per month, 3 months in advance. For each new month, advanced reservations open at 10:00am on the first day of that month.

Example: Reservations will open for the entirety of January 2017 at 10:00am on 1st October 2016.

Can I buy gift vouchers?

Restaurant Fraiche does not offer gift vouchers.

How do I apply for a job at Restaurant Fraiche?

Do you have disabled access?

Restaurant Fraiche is on a single (ground) floor with one step in to the restaurant. We can provide a ramp if pre requested.

To ensure the comfort of disabled guests, please inform us on the booking form.

Do you have accommodation?

At present we do not have rooms, although there are two hotels in the village within walking distance. They are the Shrewsbury Lodge and the Riverhill Hotel.

Do you allow dogs in your restaurant?

We only allow Guide Dogs and Assistance dogs into the restaurant.

Is a service charge included?

We do not include service charge.

Food and Drink

Do you cater for vegetarians / vegans?

Yes, we can cater for vegetarians, please let us know in advance, via the booking form. Or by contacting us. Sadly we are unable to cater for vegans.

Do you do corkage?

You are more than welcome to bring your own bottle. Please note there will be a charge for this. (£20.00 per 75cl Bottle)

Can I bring a celebration cake or can you provide a cake?

Restaurant Fraiche is unable to supply a celebration cake, however, you are more than welcome to bring one.

Does Restaurant Fraiche have seasonal menus?

All our menus use fresh seasonal products

Do you use GM free products?

All our products are GM free.

Are your ingredients ethically sourced?

To the best of our knowledge, all our ingredients are ethically sourced.

Do you source your seafood from sustainable stocks?

All our seafood is from sustainable stocks.

Do you use Nuts?

Nuts are used in the kitchen and are present in the restaurant. We are unable to guarantee a nut free environment.

I have specific dietary requirements?

Please let us know when you book and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What is your Halal policy?

Our meat supplies are based on animal welfare standards, food safety and quality. We use a variety of suppliers, all from the UK and Ireland. All of our suppliers, regardless of location, operate to strict EU animal welfare standards, which require that all animals are stunned before slaughter to ensure they are killed humanely. This is the industry standard used by all the major retailers and restaurants.

To be absolutely clear, we have no requirement for any of our suppliers to supply us with Halal-certified meat. Please also be aware that none of the meals on our menus are prepared or cooked to a Halal standard.
